The Alien, designed by Bill Payne, was to be a Hiway follow-on to the Demon but has been cancelled in a restructuring of the company. Mr Payne is reported to be continuing to develop the project and one pre-production prototype made by Hiway is now flying. The machine has an 80% double surface with internal cross tube and a Sealander-style tail. It has fibre glass wing tips and weighs about 40 kg.
